1. Who we are
SMK Consultants is the registered business/branch name of Mansoor Ashraf at 52-B, Neelam Block, DC Colony, Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. The practice provides study-abroad, study-visa financial-readiness, legal and tax advisory services. For questions about this policy or your information, email info@smkconsultants.pk or call 0332 4899948.
2. Information you choose to provide
When you use the profile-review form, the details you enter are used to prepare a message that opens in WhatsApp. The website does not save that form submission. Once you continue to WhatsApp, your communication is handled through WhatsApp under its own privacy terms.
To continue through the website’s WhatsApp profile-review form, you must select the separate permission for consultation updates and follow-up messages. This permission does not authorise promotional messages. If you do not wish to give it, contact us by telephone or email instead. You may withdraw it at any time by telling us on WhatsApp or using the contact details above.
If you contact us by telephone, email, WhatsApp or in person, we may keep the information reasonably required to respond, provide the requested service, maintain professional records and meet applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
3. Student Profile Form enquiry records, CRM and Google Workspace Contacts
This section describes the Student Profile Form enquiry workflow. The separate Financial Readiness Staff Intake has its own notice shown before collection; it includes date of birth in the restricted CRM, SMK’s business Google Contacts account and the confidential receipt for client recordkeeping, not birthday or promotional messaging. Bank Details Continuation is covered by its separate privacy notice and does not copy bank details to Google Contacts.
When you submit an enquiry or ask SMK Consultants to contact you, we record the information reasonably needed to respond and manage follow-up in our restricted lead-management system. If you give the contact and privacy acknowledgement shown with the Student Profile Form, we may also store or update a minimum business-contact record in an SMK-controlled Google Workspace Contacts account. That contact record is used only to respond to your enquiry, manage agreed follow-up, find the correct lead and prevent duplicate records.
For Student Profile Form enquiries, the Google Contacts record is limited to your name, email address, primary mobile number, the label “SMK Student Leads”, your SMK Lead ID and a neutral source marker. We store a separately labelled WhatsApp number only where you give the separate WhatsApp permission. We do not place academic records, passport or CNIC information, date of birth, address, financial information, visa or immigration history, health information, documents, case notes, free-text answers or inferred attributes in Google Contacts.
Google provides the Workspace and Contacts service and may process the contact data through its cloud infrastructure. Contacts may be available on devices signed in to the authorised SMK account. Access is restricted to named personnel who need it for the enquiry and follow-up workflow. We do not sell the contact data, use the Contacts label as marketing permission, enrich it from unrelated sources, or upload it to advertising audiences, Customer Match or similar services.
The CRM remains the authoritative record of your identity, enquiry status, communication permissions and opt-outs. A Google Contact does not itself authorise email, SMS or WhatsApp communication. WhatsApp consultation follow-up requires the separate permission shown in the relevant form; that permission does not authorise promotional messages. You may withdraw that permission at any time; withdrawal suppresses WhatsApp follow-up but does not automatically require deletion of an active business-contact record where another documented enquiry, service or record-keeping purpose remains.
We keep a Google Contacts copy while the documented enquiry or agreed follow-up purpose remains active. We review an inactive contact after 12 months from the last meaningful interaction. We remove contacts from active Google Contacts within 30 days after a lead is closed as lost, invalid or no longer required, unless a documented engagement, dispute, legal hold or record-keeping duty requires a limited record to be retained. After a verified deletion request, we aim to remove the active Google Contact within five business days and complete the available Google Contacts trash or permanent-deletion steps within 30 days. Limited recovery or backup copies may remain temporarily under the service provider’s security and recovery cycles.
To honour an opt-out, we may retain a restricted minimum suppression record containing the communication channel, a protected contact identifier, the opt-out date and source, and the SMK Lead ID. It is used only to prevent unwanted contact, is reviewed annually and is not used for promotion or profiling.
This Student Profile Form is not intended for minors. If you are under 18, please do not submit this Form or provide personal information through it. A parent or legal guardian may contact SMK Consultants separately. If SMK Consultants later learns that a response was submitted by a person under 18, it will prevent the creation or updating of a Google Contacts record, stop non-essential follow-up, and remove or restrict the active enquiry record in accordance with applicable retention and legal record-keeping requirements.
You may ask SMK Consultants to explain, correct, suppress or delete a contact by using the privacy contact details in this notice. Requests may require reasonable identity verification and may be limited where a documented legal or professional record-keeping duty applies.
4. Optional website analytics and advertising measurement
Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are used only if you select Accept analytics. They help us understand matters such as pages viewed, general device and browser information, approximate location, referral source and interactions with contact links. Meta Pixel also helps measure whether advertising leads to a profile-review or contact action. We do not ask either service to receive the information you type into the profile-review form.
If you select Necessary only, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are not loaded. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the website footer.
5. Cookies and local preferences
| Technology | Purpose | When used |
|---|---|---|
| SMK consent preference | Remembers whether you accepted or declined optional analytics on this browser. | After you make a choice |
Google Analytics cookies, including _ga and related identifiers | Distinguish visits and produce aggregated website-usage reports. | Only after you accept analytics |
Meta Pixel cookies, including _fbp and related identifiers | Measure advertising-related visits and enquiry actions and help improve campaign delivery. | Only after you accept analytics |
6. Why we use information
Depending on the circumstances, information may be used to respond to your request, take steps toward providing a service, perform an agreed engagement, maintain professional and financial records, protect the website, comply with applicable obligations, or—where you choose it—measure website use and advertising effectiveness through consent-based analytics.
7. Appointment booking, maps, service providers and external links
We may use service providers needed to operate the website and communications, including our website host, Cloudflare, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Calendar, Google Maps and WhatsApp. If you choose to book an appointment, Google Calendar receives the information you enter on the booking form and uses it to create the appointment and send confirmations. Links to social-media platforms take you to services governed by those providers’ own privacy terms.
The interactive Google map is not loaded automatically. It is loaded only after you select Load interactive map, at which point Google may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the page from which the map was loaded.
We do not sell personal information collected through this website.
8. Retention and security
Google Analytics user and event data is configured for a retention period of 14 months. Records created through an actual advisory engagement may need to be kept for longer where required for professional, contractual, tax, dispute-resolution or compliance purposes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your choices and requests
You may decline optional analytics without losing access to the website. You may also ask about personal information held by SMK Consultants, request correction of inaccurate information, or raise a privacy concern using the contact details above. A request may be subject to identity verification and any applicable professional or legal record-keeping duties.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, services or legal obligations change. The latest version and update date will always appear on this page.
